Goodbye, Valkyrie
I’ve always been an ardent fan of Macross animes (well, maybe not all. Macross 7 just didn’t work for me). And the conclusion for the Macross Frontier movie, Sayonara no Tsubasa (translated as Wings of Goodbye) felt more like a massive homage to all the Macross animes over the years.
A New Gundam Age
I was utterly flabbergasted at the new Gundam anime. Named Gundam AGE, the new show looks like it has regressed in terms of animation and even story-telling. I mean, this is just based off one episode, so I could be wrong.
Space Opera
Unbelievably, it’s been nearly 30 years since Macross was created and broadcasted. Even now, I’m still in awe at the wonderful storytelling that revolves around two strong themes – war and love.
