In the most literal sense, my arms and legs are now littered with bites. From bed bugs and mosquitoes.
I did appreciate the one week break from work, with my brain switched to total brain-dead mode and going through the motion for the one week low-key reservist. Aside from the sore muscles and crazy waking up hours at 6am (well, to my benefit, I did sleep earlier and managed to catch up on the lost sleep during the CommunicAsia week), it was great to meet up and chat with friends.
And it was a good Sunday, catching Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen. Good, but not great. Will I be tempted to purchase the new Optimus Prime toy to keep up with the collection? Hopefully not.
Following up, a simple wedding dinner by the beach, with the breeze blowing in and catching up with friends that I’ve not seen for a while, is a great way to end the Sunday and the weekend.
Before the drudgery of work kicks in again, for another week. And then, if there’s no change of plans, it’s off to Beijing from Sunday to Tuesday, Hong Kong from Wednesday to Friday, and Macau for the weekend before it’s back to the H1N1 infected Singapore.
Life’s like that, for the geek.
