Online games are akin to Mahjong at times. You need 4 people to play. So, in the real world, if 1 player can’t make it, Mahjong can’t happen, right? So people would make the effort to inform others the event is postponed, right?
How about in Final Fantasy XI? 2 weeks ago, someone requests to gather a small group of people.
First appointment was 8pm on Monday. I reached home to realise he said he won’t be back till 11pm. So I said I won’t be coming.
The organiser makes an appointment of 8pm on next Monday. I rushed home from work, to find out he’s doing other stuff, and says until enough people appear, we will start. I flipped, screwed him for not even sticking to the allocated timing and not even confirming who is coming to do the event. So that’s out of the way, he agreed to get people to do it on Saturday, 2pm. Which incidentally, is right now, when I’m posting this entry.
Saturday, 2pm. I was supposed to be at work, but I told a small fib that I had a meeting and rushed home, intending to just finish the thing and go back to work around 5pm. I log on. I see the organiser not even getting ready and doing other stuff. I asked him if the event is at 2pm, or later?
His reply was something I’d never expect : Eh, who’s coming?
I was like . . . WHAT THE FUCK!
You organise an event, the item you want is solely for you, others are going just to assist. You should have made the confirmed timing, the confirmed number of people. And you had to go ask : Who’s coming?
Fuck!
And the other bomb came when he said : Oh, one guy flew off to Bangkok, he’s not coming.
Fuck!
If you had known one person was not coming, you should have known this event won’t happen. Fuck you! You could have informed people beforehand of the change in plan, and not sit there quietly. I fucked him, he replies : How about another guy? Wait for him to come online? I was like : Fuck you! You should at least get a CONFIRMATION of who is coming!
At that point, I snapped. I immediately said : Do not ask me to come help again unless you are fucking sure you have enough people. And I logged off.
Fuck low IQ and EQ people.
